Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

What a beautiful white Christmas we had here at home. Our first ever Christmas spent a a cute little family was amazing. To be home is such a wonderful feeling.

Claire was so extremely spoiled we may send some gifts back. It's like a toy store here at out home. And I feel like we didn't even get her much. I couldn't imagine going "all out". Her most favorite toy is probably her Abby and rosita dolls, Elmo movies, cash register, and her four wheeler. Each was a highlight for a few short minute until the next obsession.

Tim surprised me with a Kate Spade iPhone case and matching tote bag! I gave him the sunglasses and fishing boots he wanted so badly. I also bought him a tv for our bedroom, which I guess is our gift for the both of us.



Side note: before I forget I wanted to post an update on Patrick "no middle name" Brady because I keep looking back and clearly I didn't record enough with Claire. He was 13 oz at 20w6d and they found an echo genic foci on hi heart too. Of course it's a tad scary but my doctor is not concerned in the slightest, so I will not stress out like I did last time. We get another ultrasound with him next week:)

I have suggested a few names to use and tim keeps shooting them down. Beckham was the most recent. Oh well!

Recent purchase? I bought a cute hockey skate lamp for his room.

Christmas presents? My mom hot him some onesies and sleep sacks. Tim's mom got him a few onesies and sleep sacks too!

How am I feeling? Great no sickness for a while. My ob did put me on antibiotic last week when I went to my appointment with a terrible cold and for fear of bronchitis he knocked it out for me!

Position? Patrick is feet first at our last appointment but tonight I felt he potentially moved and it HURT. I kind of screamed OWW...and Claire started hysterically crying like she did something to me. Poor girl.

Does Claire get it? She lifts up my shirt and says belly or baby sometimes. It's cute.

Well we made it through the hardest week of the year. Claire was diagnosed with croup on Wednesday and after taking her in today, we are not sure that's really what it was. Maybe it was just a viral infection. Anyways she developed a fever at some point Saturday and was unbearable. She couldn't sleep in her crib and was pulling at her ears. So Dr. M said he'd meet us at the office on a Sunday - seriously, a SUNDAY! We were so fortunate. Turns out she has an ear infection and the antibiotics are thankfully already working. She's so much better already. Although she looks sick as a dog, she feels much better even though her voice is nonexistent. I hope it comes back the same cute voice it used to be. Now that she is feeling better, I of course am starting to feel yucky. So tomorrow we head in to get our anatomy scan and I cannot wait.

Boy or girl?!? We find out Monday!

So i must make a note of the awful week we've had since #2 is on "its" way. CROUP. A five letter word that SUCKS. Claire has been miserable. I was called Monday at 11 to pick her up since she had a fever. By that evening her fever was high around 103. Tues and Wed the fever would spike at 1:00 or 2:00 to 104. I called the pedi and took her in Wednesday and she was diagnosed by her barky cough and hoarseness. Thursday was better and today has been bad since she's miserable and tired. When I walked in the door, from work, she literally ignored me for 5 straight minutes. Ugh! Please feel better soon Miss Claire.

19 weeks

Here we go- just about to be heading downhill!

I'm still getting sick. Today, to be exact, has been the most recent. Bloody noses have been a frequent occurrence and feeling nauseous in the morning still, is not unusual.

Baby's heartrate is 144 still and has even since about 12ish weeks. The first ultrasound at 10 weeks 5 days was 177.

Weight gain? I have gained 3.5 lbs. started at 134.5 and am now 138.

Cravings? I really like cereal again, sour path kids, and I'm a fan of anything sweet.

Aversions? I really do not care for the smokin sweet chips I was obsessed with for some time.

Names? Currently we have 2 girl names picked out: Molly Katherine or Julianne Elise (maybe Grace). As for a boy name it's Patrick James, although I prefer Jack.

Baby kicks? Still nothing major. I've felt stuff but it's been minor.

Best day

Claire came running up to me at daycare today saying, "mommy, mommy, mommy" as he proceeded to give me the sweetest hug ever. My how things have changed:) it was te beat feeling ever.

On another positive note, nanny is stable and in good sprits. She has rehab to go through, but could be home by Christmas! Fingers crossed!!

A thankful 2012!

So last night Claire was playing with a cheap magnadoodle from the dollar store and it was fun. Next thing I know the tip (a small magnet) is missing. We come to suspect she swallowed it. So after calling the pedi, we wake her up and take her to the ER at 9 pm. After an X-ray, we find out she never swallowed it!!! Thank goodness. I am pretty sure that will not be our last trip to the ER with Miss C Beth!

A family affair

We had so much fun getting out pictures taken as a family this year. Claire was quite the diva and we were amazed how Pamela was able to capture Claire in a nutshell of 30ish images. They're beautiful!

Happy Halloween!

Claire was the good witch at daycare because her party isn't until tomorrow. This evening she ran around before trick or treaters started showing up.

Before the sun set, Claire was dancing in her elephant costume with Mimi nearby. She giggled, drug her pumpkin bag, and went up to a few doors, saying, "knock knock". She was the cutest elephant I've ever seen, with quite the dance moves!

We're expecting!!! Looks like our newest Brady buncher is due April 25, 2013. I am almost positive it's another girl and will be surprised to see differently. Obviously we don't really care as long as it's healthy:)

We found out on Claire's first birthday because I had to pee on a stick before we attended Katy & Greg's wedding. Sure enough it showed 2 lines. Over the next week I peed on 4 sticks, each got darker. At our 9 week appointment we heard the heart rate on Doppler at 144. Then on Wednesday we went to get our first ultrasound and we saw our sweet baby! Heart rate was 168 and our due date moved up from 4/29 to 4/25!

I make pregnant woman #7 at work;) Claire is going to be a big sister!

Happy Birthday, Claire!

Claire Beth turned 1 year old over the weekend and wow what a special little lady we have on our hands. She is a beautiful, vibrant petite girl with lots of smiles, loads of personality, and a temper that doubles her size. She is quite the spitfire and imp, but a loving, sweet baby still. We had the best birthday party with Claire and 50 of our closest family and friends. Some of Claire's friends came too, including: Abbie, Lily, Penelope, Paxton, and our neighbors kids. My half brothers made the drive down from Long Island with my stepmom to meet Claire for the first time and her Grandma/Grandpa Brady made the trek down from Buffalo. We enjoyed a backyard feast with lots of pink and yellow. The lemonade stand theme was carried throughout the house and Claire's beautiful dress I got from an Etsy shop. Tim and I constructed, painted, and made a little lemonade stand for C to play with and be photographed with. It was the focal piece of the entire party. It turned out just perfect. Although she was a bit fussy and tired for the party she managed to make it through the overwhelming commotion and survive eating cake and opening presents. Now we need to write the thank you notes with some paint and her handprint :) Wednesday we head to the peditrician's office to get her one year stats and make sure she is a healthy little girl! I cannot believe one year ago we were bringing her home for the first time and enjoying our sleepy newborn.

5 steps

And counting! Everyday she gets better and better.

She's been standing, free standing, for a couple months! Jut popping up wherever she is. She's quite the mover. Fast, too.

Well today she took about 5 steps (not on camera) but prior to that I caught 2.5 steps that show her great balance as an 11month and 1 day old!

I all gymnast. She's strong, determined, fast, and has great balance, plus her smile won't hurt!

PS she loved playing in the tub tonight!

July 10

July in Maryland is hot. Hot, hot, hot. So to cool off, Claire and I parked our behinds at MiMi & PopPop's a few times, early this month. We invited friends and celebrated the Fourth. It's sad to think that the 4th of July was Claire's second to last FIRST holiday celebration, her birthday is nearing. Claire has been showing her personality even more so as she has begun to throw mini temper tantrums when she does not get what she wants, which usually consists of the remote control. How old is Claire? C Beth is 10.5 months with a personality three times her size!What is she doing now? Claire crawls really really fast. If it's any indication to predict how fast she'll walk, we're in trouble. She can climb all the way up a flight of stairs and she's begun to learn how to come back down, but she prefers to go up. She can walk behind a walker, cruise, and climb up on her activity table with the help of surrounding toys. Claire can entertain herself for a while, reading books and really "talking" out loud. She enjoys "running" aka crawling very quickly away from you like she's being chased. She'll play hide & seek upstairs with the bedrooms and bathroom. She loves to talk to herself in the mirror in the bathroom while mommy showers. She also enjoys chasing Monty around the island and laughing very loudly. She's a giggly girl. Last excursion out of the house? C is at Home Goods right now with MiMi. She came to give mommy a break since she had surgery yesterday! Favorite food? Claire loves Bananas. She also really likes cheese!What is her daily schedule? Generally she wakes up by 6:30 am. She eats a bottle & breakfast, usually. Nap between 8-9 until for an hour and half. She plays until lunch time around 11. She then goes back down to nap around 12:30/1:30 for another hour and half or two hours. She plays for a while until dinner at 5. Bathtime is around 6:30/7 and bedtime follows shortly after that! Finally she is sleeping through the night on a continuous basis. If she wakes I have learned not to go get her and she falls asleep on her own! Favorite toy? Loves her baby doll and her first Pets.Daddy or Mommy? Whichever set of arms she is not in she wants the other. Monty or Sullivan? She fed Sullivan today, I have a cute video of this. And she really likes to pet him, because he lets her and just wags his tail. But, she really likes to "chase" Monty and laugh at him. It pretty much scares the poo out of Mont! How is she sleeping? Great, now! I bet I just jinxed that.Three words to describe C: Sweet, Strong Willed, Adventurous

Claire cut her second tooth over the weekend. She's been such a happy peanut most days, but this weekend she shared her fussiness with us briefly. After getting home from lacrosse practice sure enough I noticed another pearly white, her bottom right front tooth! She's getting to be such a big 9 month old. I cannot believe how much time flies having a baby. We went to her 9 month appointment on Friday and we sure is growing beautifully and perfectly. She is 17 lbs, 1 oz(21%), 28 1/4 inches long (76%), and her head circumference is in the 46%ile.

Tooth #1

Claire cut a tooth today:)

Finally.

She only woke up at 1:30 am last night and was not very fussy. She's a pain tolerator like her mommy!

I can't believe my big girl is growing up so quickly.


Mom note: C went to the pedi and is back on antibiotics for a reoccurring cold which may be a sinus infection. She weighed 16.09 lbs!
