Raspberries
Claire has been doing this new thing where she spits raspberries when she's mad or tired. It's cute, funny and annoying all at one. I thought I had a video but looks as if didn't record but a picture. I'll post one later.

I love my man.
I am in a facebook group with a bunch of mamas who had due dates in August, so all of our kiddos are within the same age range. It's awesome to get information from other mom's and there are actually some mom's in the group from Maryland. We are actually going to meet up in a couple weekends to have a play date for our babies! Anyways while reading one of their blogs I saw an entry in honor of Valentine's day and figured I'd partake.
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
2. How did you meet? {What’s your “love” story?}
Well we met in 2006 when I first started working at his school, Clarksville Middle. I was fresh out of college and very much in love with my current boyfriend. He was living with his girlfriend and when we passed in the hallway I vividly remembering, it's too bad I'm dating someone, he seems like a nice guy to meet and fall for at work. I never gave it another thought for the next 3 years we were working together (across the hall from one another) until he broke up with his girlfriend of many many years and I eventually moved out of my boyfriend's house, at the time.
3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry? {do tell}
We got married on 01.15.2011. It's been just over a year.
4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding? If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?
More or less we had a shotgun wedding and it was very small and intimate. We loved the day and will always remember having most of our closest friends and family there. We do wish we could have had a bigger wedding, inviting everyone that means so much to us, but given the circumstances our wedding was perfect.
We married at St. Louis Chapel in Clarksville and had a lunch reception Baldwin Station, where we just returned for our one year anniversary. It was lovely.
5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
Sweets. If you are around us enough, you'd know that one.
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
1. Nicest man I've met. 2. Appreciates me and our family. 3. He's wicked smart. And one more for fun, he does household chores, total bonus (laundry especially).
7. Tell us how he proposed?
Well on Thanksgiving weekend, 2010, we headed to Home Depot to get our Christmas tree. We decided to start a tradition, which by the way, we've already broken. So, the first hint of something being up was the fact I got to pick whichever tree, no matter the price, without discussion. Then when I asked him to put the tree inside the car and not on the top, like last year (huge fight), he did so without any argument. Once we headed home and put the tree up, I asked Tim to string the lights. He said he couldn't and I was annoyed he wasn't doing a good job, so I said I'd do it. Then he disappeared. I was a little upset he wasn't helping or at least hanging out with me, it was supposed to be "our" tradition. I did notice he was running up and down the stairs and doing random things, and once I saw him starting to light tea light candles with our gas stove, I knew something weird was going on. I am not sure I even told him I ever saw him doing this part. Well, sure enough I start to string the lights and I run across the ring a hugeeeee diamond. I looked twice and thought maybe someone lost something in the tree until I realized, "ohhhhh my, that's for me". I pulled it off real quick to look at it's beauty and scared I placed it back on the tree branch. So I then realized I couldn't keep doing the lights or he'd know I found it, so I just waited. Wasn't the guy supposed to be there on one knee, proposing?!?!?! That's what I thought. I kept saying he'll come up. He has some plan. Nope. Nothing. Finally 10 minutes go by (probably only two, but still) and Tim yells up, "sweets, what are you going?". I said nothing. I then proceeded to sweep up the pine needles and ignored the lights on the tree. Tim then yells again, "did you find anything yet?" and frozen unsure what to do I said "yes" enthusiastically and ran downstairs with it, to a room filled or candles a bouquet of flowers and a thoughtful card. My sweets sure did get me and when I tell the story I crack up hysterically at how it all played out prior to me running down the stairs!
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?
I would say neither. I couldn't even tell you what I got for Valentine's day.
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, but he's a pop a movie in and relax which means we differ a little in that department.
10. Tell us one thing you’d like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
We'd love to go to Alaska or Ireland together!
11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine’s Day.
We honestly haven't even talked about it. My guess it I'll make dinner and we'll spend it at home with our little girl. I do have a sweet surprise for him.
12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine’s day?
Nope. We just bought our house and spent some money on our anniversary gift.
13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Look at the glass half full. See the good in the relationship. It's so easy once together for a while to dwell on the bad and look negatively at your relationship or SO. It's so easy to compare you're relationship to others especially with social media where you see what others do so openly. Appreciate one another. Take care of each other. And remember why you fell in love.
14. Show us a picture of what love means to you.

And the bears is sitting
Bearsy. Clairedy. Beth.
She sat by herself for a long while on Superbowl Sunday, at my parents.
She also ate first squash for the first time yesterday and Miss N sent me a picture of Bethy's newest trick: toes in the mouth, yummy!
We have such a big girl on our hands!u

Our Day
Wake up at 5:30
Sleep in bed with mom and dad until 7
Up for the day, no joke
Target trip. Twenty minute car ride nap
Play, play, fuss, nap?
Tried to nap
Maybe 5 minutes out of mom's arms
Up, lunch, nap at lunch
Napped for 90 minutes in the car seat
Up, play, play, need a nap, decide to play
Play in dad's arms, play with mom
Early bath
Bed at 7:08
For how long?
Report back tomorrow
(yes every picture in this post is from today. We went through a lot of outfits.)
Update: up at 8:26 and now back out at 8:38. Fussed herself back to sleep without the paci!

On My Toes
My sweet girl loves to keep me guessing. I mean it's flattering to hear she misses me. It's also nice to cuddle with her, but at 2:30 and 4:30 in the morning... Is it necessary, Claire?
C and I went to the store today, the last day of January and its 60 degrees out, and she was a doll. I made dinner while she took an hour nap. Then I threw out dinner because the cheese was bad. Boy did that make me mad. So after bath time in which C was sitting up in with my assistance she's now soundly sleeping in my arms as I rock her to Rockabye Baby journey (a must have cd).
Hoping for at least 6 straight hours.

Sleep, Rolls, & Sweet Potatoes
Sweet baby Claire is not such a baby anymore, well I guess she's still a baby, but no longer a cute, little, teeny, tiny newborn. She's growing up fast.
This week she slept through the night: every. single. night. Wow! And kwhy did I feel so very tired today at work? Am I not used to this much sleep? This morning she did wake up at 3:45 am and went back down until 6:00 am. But she was quite cranky tonight, so she's in bed already; 45 minutes before she usually goes to bed.
This afternoon we tried sweet potatoes, the first food with the exception of some avocado two weeks ago and the obvious rice cereal (which she's been taking for a couple weeks). She loved them. That yummy orange mush barely made it all over her face because she was so enthralled with the taste. She was talking mmmmmmmmm-mmmmmmm the entire time we were eating. I started her with some cereal with water and she was fussy and not really having it so I decided what the heck, let's try something else. She seems completely ready to eat solids, she brings the spoon to her face, she opens up and says "mmmm". So I dug in for her. She seriously loved them. We'll probably do some tomorrow afternoon too!
Since she was still pretty fussy after a brief afternoon cat nap I decided to start her bedtime routine early. She's having so much fun in her bath nowadays. Today was the first time she's rolled over in the tub. Whatttt? Rolled over in the tub, yep, that's what she did. Head up, above the water, trying to play with the tag on the bath tub mat. She's just so independent in the bath. She loves it.
Now I am off to sell some of her diapers as I need some paypal money for a few wool covers for the spring/summer for our little miss Claire!

9 hours, what?
Claire slept last night for 9.5 hours straight!! Well at least I didn't hear her wake. Tim said she woke up at 11 and he hushed her back to bed (without picking her up, go daddy!!!!!!!). She was a doll baby at daycare. Miss N said she rocked. She was happy, she slept really well, and she only ate two bottles which was odd, but she sucked down 6 ounces at one feeding. We went grocery shopping and she was a sweet girl the entire trip. I love that sweet face more than life itself.
Tonight we even had a chance to eat dinner together. Claire napped for about 40 minutes which allowed me to make the yummiest Mexican Shepard's Pie ever. I've never had it before and it was delish!
